We follow Lance Bass of *N Sync, from his first casting session to the final wrap party, as he prepares to produce and star in his first film, On the Line. Among the twenty artists interviewed are Mos Def, Courtney Love, Willie Nelson, Jewel, Meat Loaf, Dwight Yoakum, and Gene Simmons. These artists tell their stories, some triumphant and some frustrating, as they attempt to prove themselves in a new medium.
Directed by Steven Cantor and produced by Daniel Laikind, the film was the centerpiece of IFC’s week-long celebration, Indie Rocks, hosted by Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
