How did you get involved in Stick Figure?
Steve and I were sick of LA and we are too headstrong to work for anyone else, so we thought, how about our own company!

What is your favorite cereal?
Cinnamon Toast Crunch, but I’m on the Atkins diet so no cereal for me.

Kiss me if I’m wrong but is your name Umfafa?

What is your goal in the film world and beyond?
We want to make each film so that it allows us to make the next one. That and groupies.

Why are you involved in film?
I like telling stories and films are the best way of doing that. Besides, my fastball couldn’t get out righties.

Casablanca, Porkahontas

Least favorite movie?
Vanilla Sky, The Jackal.

I am a sick and twisted sports fan. Baseball and Football leading the pack. I went to college on a curling scholarship.

Do you have any enemies?
I was involved in a border war once against the Canadians and they have never let me forget it.

Mom is a psychotherapist, Dad is a money management investor.

If you were not at Stick Figure what would you be doing?
Centerfielder for the New York Yankees.

What are you trying to tell in the films you make?
Despite the fact that we make a lot of documentaries, we don’t think that is a license to be boring. We want to tell stories with a beginning, middle and end. We think of our films as narrative films, just without actors.

Favorite board game?
Trivial Pursuit. My head is so filled with useless knowledge, it’s scary.

High School: Dalton College: Northwestern University

I’m left-handed; I can raise one eyebrow on both sides. I sign everything with my initials: DAL, I have size 14 feet, and I never learned how to ride a bicycle (I have balance issues).

What does your desk look like?
The floor of the New York stock exchange after a long day of trading. Hey, Malcolm Gladwell says it’s a sign of genius.

“Time and Again”, Jack Finney; “Lindbergh”, A. Scott Berg; “The Power Broker”, Robert A. Caro.

Favorite CD’s?
Beastie Boys, G Love and Special Sauce, and my world famous mixes. Ask nicely and I’ll burn you copies.

Dirty vodka martini. Very dirty.
