Soon after his graduation from college in 1999, James Blunt served in the British Armed Forces as part of the NATO campaign to curb the violence in the Kosovo province of Yugoslavia.  The experience represented a significant chapter in the young singer-songwriter’s life and, in 2006, he returned to play a concert for the troops still stationed there.

Director Steven Cantor and his crew follow Blunt as he reconnects with his Albanian translators and seeks out long-lost acquaintances from the war.  The result captures the current state of the region and illustrates a time in which the pop star’s life was centered on day-to-day matters of life and death.
