In 2011, Jono washed up upon the shores of the United States from his native Australia, after aimlessly traveling the world for a few years after completing a Bachelor of Arts in Media & Communications. He's been at Stick Figure ever since.
Jono is an Emmy® winning producer and director with credits on a variety of projects for HBO, Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Studios, YouTube Originals, Meta, PBS, E! Entertainment, FOX, ESPN, VH1, CNN Films and MSG Networks. He also oversees the post-production department at Stick Figure.
He produced and co-directed remote documentaries following YUNGBLUD, Twyla Tharp and the band Why Don’t We during the COVID pandemic. Beyond music and dance documentaries, he specializes in stories following kids and marginalized & divided communities.
His directorial debut HOOD RIVER was executive produced by Robert Rodriguez and premiered at SXSW. His other work has premiered at Sundance and Tribeca Film Festival.
Jono is a member of both the Directors Guild of America and the Producers Guild of America.
